The training center Base Mini Barcelona has created its offshore sailing center at Port Forum of Barcelona, with the support of the Marina Port Forum and the Barcelona International Sailing Center. The presentation that has been held today, with the General Secretary for Sport, Ivan Tibau, marks the beginning of the training sessions for the Mini Transat 2017.
The General Secretary for Sport, Ivan Tibau, explained that "in Catalonia, where the sea is so important, it is essential to have an offshore sailing training center".
Juan Conde, director of the Marina Port Forum, stressed the commitment of the port with offshore sailing “to develop a technical baseline here".
The event was attended by the president of the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, Toni Tio.
