Barcelona Tourism have presented today Barcelona Mar program, which promotes sailing, underwater, maritime tourism and fishing in Barcelona, with the collaboration of Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, the Barcelona Provincial Council, the Catalan Association of Marinas and Tourism and the Barcelona International Boat Show.
Initially, it starts with the involvement of 18 companies: Aventura Náutica, Barcelona Naval Tours, Barcodealquiler.com, Blaumar, Bojeo Tours, Business Yacthclub Barcelona, Centro Municipal de Vela, Charters CBN/Palamós, Club Náutico de Arenys de Mar, Club Náutico Garraf, Cofradía de Pescadores de Barcelona, Corsa Náutica, Escuela Náutica Puerto de Barcelona, Las Golondrinas, Marina Port Fòrum, Nova Maris/SailingexperienceBCN, Rocroi and Barcelona International Boat Show.
The program is structured around six types of enjoying the water activities, which are nautical and underwater, boat trips, sport fishing, beaches, marinas and seaports and charter boats and targets both tourism as the local people.
President of the Barcelona Tourism Executive Committee, Joan Gaspart, said that "the program completes Barcelona brand, and its promotion, with the magic of the sea and all water sports".
