The Barcelona Nautical Cluster and the TecnoCampus organize the Naut-EC Project training days

The sessions dealt with eco-design and the aid map for circular economy projects. The Barcelona Nautical Cluster has organized two sessions of the Naut-Ec project for its members. The aim is to bring the circular economy closer to your business and association projects. The first session dealt with eco-design and the second presented the aid map for circular economy projects.

The online session on eco-design was held on November 30 and was used to learn about examples of good practices in this field. Sònia Llorens, Naut-Ec project coordinator, Àlex Jiménez from Nutcreatives who presented the R-Barceloneta waste reuse project to make design elements, Gonzalo Romagosa from Ratsey & Lapthorn who reuses sails and Kiko Ripoll from Glooers participated who explained how they transform plastic resins. All these experiences made it possible to get to know closely different lines of circularity in the sector.

The second session, this December, brought together around twenty partners at the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce to learn first-hand about the different financial aid in the area of ​​circularity offered by the Department of Climate Action, the ACCIÓ agency of the Generalitat , the Generalitat Waste Agency and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.

Mireia Cañellas, from the Climate Action Department, described the landing of European circular economy policies in Catalonia. He explained how the new state laws have an impact in this area and presented the Circular Economy Action Plan of the Generalitat and the Circular Economy Observatory of Catalonia.

For her part, Yolanda Morcillo presented the three lines of aid for circular economy projects of the Generalitat's Waste Agency. They are grants for projects that reorient the business to the circular economy, emphasizing pilot tests or project implementation. Maria Lumbierres, from Acció, presented the ProACCIÓ Green program which brings together different grants to place sustainability as one of the company's strategic axes.

And finally, from the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Vicente Atienza, stressed that companies that are not sustainable will hardly be able to receive short-term aid. With his intervention, he revealed the different programs and aid plans for sustainability and circular economy projects aimed at companies, including the nautical sector.

Both sessions were preceded by a presentation of the status of the Naut-EC project.
