Under the organization of the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, the Barcelona Yachting Networking Meetings were held yesterday at the headquarters of the Fundació Navegació Oceànica Barcelona (FNOB), sponsor of the event. The speed-networking activity was a great success, with 70 participants registered, and very productive: 250 bilateral meetings were held and the participants were very satisfied with the established contacts and localized synergies.
"It's a really interesting and effective format," explained Jaume Prats, of Barcelona Advocats, which is a member of the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic. It was the opinion shared by most of the participants, including international companies and specialized press. "I am very happy, it has been a very productive day, I have made very interesting contacts and I have a few important proposals and ideas," said Nathalie Blatt, from Sunseeker.
Yacht Racing Forum, Ports of the Generalitat, Costa Brava Yacht Ports, Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona, Ausmar, Barcelona International Boat Show, Varador 2000, Mestre Advocats, Orange, Daevi and Institut Català de Finances were some of the participants in the Barcelona Yachting Networking Meetings, among many others.
With a parenthesis for a mid-morning breakfast and for lunch, which were served on the pier under a pleasant spring sun, the meetings took place from 9.30 am to 4 pm, in the Barcelona room of the FNOB headquarters, where 20 numbered tables were distributed for bilateral meetings. Upon arrival, participants collected their accreditation and personalized meeting schedule, with the contacts they had previously requested an appointment via the online platform provided by Barter, a consultancy specializing in professional networking events.
After this successful first experience, the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic will study ways to establish the event in the annual calendar, with the aim of helping to consolidate the city as a great international yachting hub.
